This extractor is a direct replacement for the factory part on Glock® slim-frame pistols (G42, G43, G43X, G48). The stock extractor can develop stress fractures or lose tension over time, leading to erratic ejection patterns or failure to extract. This component addresses that by using a thicker extractor claw and re-profiled hook geometry to maintain consistent grip on the case rim through the entire cycle. Machined from 416 stainless steel, it resists deformation better than the MIM factory part. Note: not recommended for use with aftermarket slides or barrels due to manufacturing tolerance stack-up.

Tools needed: punch (or Glock® disassembly tool), small hammer, needle-nose pliers. Remove the slide, depress the extractor depressor plunger, push out the extractor pin, swap the extractor, and reassemble. Expect 5–10 minutes. No permanent modification required.

FAQ

Will this work with a factory Glock® barrel?

Yes. This extractor is designed for factory Glock® barrels and slides. It is not recommended for aftermarket slides or barrels due to variations in breech face depth and extractor cut dimensions.

Does it require a different extractor spring?

Not typically. The factory spring and depressor plunger work with this extractor. If your ejection pattern becomes erratic after installation, inspect the spring for wear before replacing it.

Why can’t I use this with aftermarket slides?

Aftermarket slides often have extractor channels cut to slightly different depths or widths. This extractor’s thicker claw may bind or fail to seat fully, causing extraction issues. Stick with OEM slides for best results.
