Fully Machined Sear

Fully machined replacement sear for Smith & Wesson M&P series pistols. This was the first aftermarket sear developed for the platform, originally engineered to reduce pull weight, shorten over-travel, and sharpen the reset. It is now included as a core component in all current trigger kits for M&P, M&P M2.0, and Shield models, but is also available here as a standalone upgrade. Direct drop-in — no fitting required. Installs into factory trigger housings without modifications.

Requires removal of the rear slide assembly, trigger housing pin removal, and sear exchange. Tools needed: 1/16” punch, small hammer or press, and a bench block. Armorers block helpful but not required. No trigger over-travel screw adjustment needed for this part alone. Typical install time: 10–20 minutes.

FAQ

Will this sear work with my M&P Shield Plus?

Yes. The Shield Plus uses the same sear geometry as the standard Shield and M2.0 Shield. This sear is a direct drop-in.

Do I need to replace any other springs or parts when installing this sear?

Not required. The sear alone will reduce pull weight and improve reset. For maximum reduction, pair with a reduced-power trigger return spring and striker block spring. These are sold separately.

Will this sear affect the trigger safety or drop safety?

No. The sear does not modify the trigger safety blade, striker block, or sear engagement angle. Factory safety margins are maintained when installed per instructions.
