Apex Enhanced Stabilization Attachment

This Enhanced Stabilization Attachment is a muzzle compensator designed for .223 / 5.56 caliber rifles. It mounts directly to a threaded muzzle to reduce felt recoil and flatten muzzle rise. The inline gas port on top directs gas upward, producing downward thrust that keeps the muzzle on target during rapid follow-up shots. Baffle geometry is adjusted to reduce high-pressure gas turbulence in the bullet’s flight path, improving consistency.

Install Difficulty

Level: 2 / 5 — Basic hand tools required (armorer’s wrench, torque wrench, crush washer). Thread onto muzzle, torque to manufacturer spec (typically 15–25 ft-lbs). Important: Before removing an existing muzzle device, check barrel for a blind pin. Blind-pinned devices require professional gunsmith removal. Attempting removal without verifying can permanently damage the barrel.

FAQ

Will this work on a 14.5” barrel with a pinned-and-welded muzzle device?

No. This attachment replaces a standard threaded muzzle device. If your current device is pinned and welded to meet overall length requirements, removal requires cutting the weld and drilling the pin. A gunsmith should handle that process.

Does this require a specific crush washer or shim set?

A standard 1/2×28 crush washer is included. For precision timing or suppressor alignment, use a shim kit instead of the crush washer. Do not overtighten.

Will this affect point of impact at 100 yards?

This compensator is designed to reduce muzzle rise and felt recoil without shifting zero. Some shooters report a slight POI shift due to changed barrel harmonics — re-zero after installation.
