Caliber: .223 Remington, 5.56 NATO | Capacity: 30
The Daniel Defense M4A1 RIS II is a semi-automatic 5.56 NATO rifle with a 14.5-inch cold hammer forged M4-profile barrel and a 1:7 twist. A pinned and welded flash device brings the barrel assembly to a 16-inch length. The rifle uses forged 7075-T6 aluminum receivers, a pinned low-profile gas block and a chrome-lined M16-profile bolt carrier, and it weighs 7.4 pounds.
Its RIS II handguard runs the full length of the rifle, giving a rigid platform for lights, lasers, foregrips and other accessories. The six-position adjustable stock and overmolded pistol grip add to the handling, and the Flat Dark Earth Cerakote finish makes it easy to tell apart from black rifles on the rack. It works as a configurable carbine for range and training use, and it accepts .223 Remington ammunition as well as 5.56 NATO.
