SKU: APX-C-104-134 Category:

This 3/32″ Disassembly Punch is a spring-loaded pin punch modified with a flat tip for targeted removal of the Front Locking Block Pin on FN 509, FN 510, and FN 545 pistols. The factory pin fit is tight, and standard punches often slip or mar the frame. This tool applies direct axial force to the pin face, releasing it with a few strikes rather than repeated hammering. Designed for use with the corresponding Apex Disassembly Fixture (sold separately) for proper frame alignment and pin access.

Compatibility

  • FN 509 (all variants)
  • FN 510 (all variants)
  • FN 545 (all variants)
  • Requires Apex Disassembly Fixture for FN 509/FNS-C (recommended)

  • 3/32″ tip diameter

FAQ

Does this punch work without the Apex Disassembly Fixture?

The punch is designed to be used with the fixture for correct pin alignment. Without it, the punch may not contact the pin face squarely, reducing effectiveness and increasing risk of frame damage. We strongly recommend using the fixture.

Can this be used on other FN models like the FNS or FNX?

No. The flat tip profile and spring tension are specific to the Front Locking Block Pin geometry on the FN 509/510/545 series. Using it on other models may not engage the pin correctly.

What is the difference between this and a standard roll pin punch?

Standard punches require a hammer and rely on user alignment. This punch is spring-loaded, so the energy is stored and released on impact rather than transferred through a hammer strike. The flat tip also reduces the chance of the pin walking or the punch slipping off the pin face.
