Does the extended face affect holster fitment?

It may. The extended surface protrudes slightly beyond the factory lever profile. We recommend checking with your holster manufacturer for clearance confirmation before purchasing, especially for kydex or hybrid holsters with tight trigger guard molds.

Do I need to remove the grip module to install this?

No. The takedown lever can be replaced with the grip module still attached to the frame. Just ensure the pistol is unloaded and the slide is removed before starting.
