Low-Profile Magwell for Springfield SA-35/Browning Hi-Power

This low-profile magwell replaces the factory mainspring housing on the Springfield SA-35 to provide a larger, colosseum-style frame entrance for faster, more reliable reloads. It adds only 1/4″ of overall length while improving the magazine-to-frame channel alignment using the SA-35’s factory frame bevels. Designed to reduce fumbling during reloads under time pressure.

FAQ

Will this work with factory Springfield SA-35 magazines?

No. This magwell requires Apex 17- or 19-round magazines. Factory SA-35 magazines will not seat or lock reliably.

Does this fit a Browning Hi-Power without modification?

No. BHP and Girsan frames need minor frame alterations (typically a small amount of material removed from the frame ears) to attach properly. SA-35 models require no cutting or welding.

What grip panels work with this magwell?

We recommend LOK Grips panels made specifically for this low-profile magwell. Standard SA-35 or BHP grips may not clear the magwell’s profile.
