This Action Enhancement Kit replaces the factory fire-control group in Springfield SA-35 and Browning Hi-Power (Mk I / Mk II) pistols with a matched set of billet-steel components engineered to eliminate take-up, over-travel, and hammer bite while delivering a consistent, sub-4-lb trigger pull. The kit solves the Hi-Power’s inherent sear-lever inertia issues (which can cause unintended disconnects under recoil) by installing a balanced sear lever with a dedicated spring, and the Tank Tread Commander Hammer’s integrated over-cocking pad prevents the hammer from contacting the shooter’s hand.

Requires full disassembly of the fire-control group. You’ll need a Hi-Power mainspring tool, 1/16” and 3/32” roll-pin punches, brass hammer, bench block, and a slave pin for the sear lever. Previous Hi-Power trigger work experience recommended. Allow 1–2 hours for first-time install.

FAQ

Will this kit work in a FEG or Argentine FM Hi-Power clone?

Not without frame modifications. The sear lever geometry and hammer pin location differ on most clones. This kit is designed specifically for factory SA-35 and genuine Browning Mk I / Mk II frames.

Do I need to stone or polish any parts after install?

No. The sear nose and hammer hooks are pre-matched at the factory. Install as-is, function-check, and shoot. If pull weight is outside 3.75–4.25 lb, check sear spring tension before stoning.

Does the wide flat trigger fit standard Hi-Power holsters?

Yes. The trigger shoe is .31” wide and sits within the factory trigger guard profile. No holster modification needed for leather, Kydex, or nylon.
