Will this fit a Shield M2.0 or Shield Plus?

No. This kit is specifically for the original M&P Shield (pre-2.0) without a thumb safety. The M2.0 and Shield Plus use a different sear housing and trigger geometry.

I received a sear with two dots instead of the #2 sear – is this correct?

Yes. The kit is transitioning from the two-dot sear to the #2 sear. Both are functionally identical in this application and have been tested for the same pull weight, safety values, and reset characteristics.

Do I need to replace the trigger return spring separately?

No. The kit includes a new trigger return spring. Reuse the factory trigger bar and slide stop lever unless damaged. If you want a lighter trigger return, you can swap to an aftermarket spring, but the included spring is tuned for carry reliability.
