Apex 9mm Drop-In Threaded Barrel for SD and SD VE

Drop-in threaded barrel for Smith & Wesson SD9 / SD9 VE pistols. Machined from heat-treated, premium button-rifled steel barrel blanks. This barrel replaces the factory barrel to accept standard 1/2-28 threaded muzzle devices—suppressors, compensators, or muzzle brakes. No fitting required. Includes a thread protector with captive O-ring. Melonite finish for corrosion resistance and extended service life.

Install Difficulty

2 out of 5 — Basic disassembly/reassembly of the slide and barrel. Requires a punch for the barrel retaining pin, a non-marring hammer, and a bench block. No special headspace gauges or reaming needed.

FAQ

Will this barrel work with my factory Loaded Chamber Indicator?

Not directly. The factory LCI block protrudes into the chamber area. You must either remove the LCI block entirely or install the Apex No Profile Loaded Chamber Indicator Block (sold separately). The barrel is not cut for the factory LCI tab.

Does this barrel require a different recoil spring or guide rod?

No. Use your factory recoil spring assembly. The barrel dimensions match OEM drop-in spec. No spring rate change is necessary for standard or suppressed use with factory-weight slides.

Is this barrel legal in all states?

No. This product cannot be shipped to CA, CT, DE, Washington DC, HI, IL, NJ, NY, or WA. Verify your local laws regarding threaded barrels before ordering. Not for sale to restricted jurisdictions.
