This steel optic mount replaces the factory MRD insert system on FN 509-series pistols equipped with the FN Low Profile Optics Mounting System™. It solves the stacking-plate problem by mounting directly to the slide without an adapter insert, providing a lower, more secure interface for ACRO-footprint optics. Machined from billet steel with a black oxide finish.

Does this work with the FN 545?
Yes. The FN 545 uses the same FN Low Profile Optics Mounting System™ as the 509 series. This mount is a direct fit.
Do I need a sealing plate with the Steiner MPS?
No sealing plate is required with this mount. However, we recommend using the Apex Super Clamp to expand the clamping range of your MPS optic for a tighter fit.
Will this mount work with suppressor-height sights?
Yes. The lower profile of this mount (compared to a plate stack) may improve co-witness with standard-height suppressor sights. Confirm your specific sight height and optic deck height.
