This Apex Optic Mount is a direct-fit steel adapter for mounting Holosun 509T footprint optics to GLOCK® Gen 6 Optic Ready slides. The primary problem it solves: factory Gen 6 slides lack a native 509T footprint, and aluminum adapters can fail under the high-G forces of slide cycling. This mount replaces the factory optic cover plate, providing a steel interface that won’t shear its mounting rails.

Requires: Torque screwdriver (15 in-lb), small flathead or pick for damper placement, degreaser for slide cleaning. Remove factory cover plate, clean slide surface, place damper in front cavity, align mount, hand-tighten screws, torque to spec. No fitting or gunsmithing required.
FAQ
Will this mount work on a Gen 5 MOS slide?
No. This mount is specifically cut for GLOCK® Gen 6 Optic Ready slides. The mounting key geometry and screw spacing differ from Gen 5 MOS patterns.
Why steel instead of aluminum?
Slide acceleration in a 9mm pistol hits ~3000g per shot. During testing, 6061 and 7075 aluminum mounts experienced rail tearing at the base after a few thousand rounds. Steel holds up indefinitely under that force. This is a reliability-driven choice.
What screws are included, and are they pre-locked?
Two 4mm x 0.7 screws with high-temp thread locker pre-applied. Torque to 15 in-lb. Do not use additional thread locker unless specified. Clean slide surface before installation.
