This Apex Grade Thread Protector screws onto the muzzle end of your 9mm, .40 S&W, or .45 ACP threaded barrel to shield the threads from impact and debris. A captured O-ring is pre-installed and stays seated inside the protector when removed — no loose gaskets to lose or fumble during cleaning. The unique Offset Pentagon Pattern gives a clean, non-round profile that stands out from standard thread protectors.

Install Difficulty

Level 1/5 — Hand-tighten onto clean, dry threads. No tools required. Do not over-torque; the O-ring provides retention. If suppressor mounting, remove protector first.

Will this fit my non-Apex barrel?

If your barrel uses 1/2×28 (9mm/.40) or 9/16×24 (.45) thread pitch, yes. Verify thread pitch with your barrel manufacturer before ordering. The O-ring may fit differently depending on thread shoulder depth.

Does the O-ring stay in place when I take the protector off?

Yes. The O-ring is captured inside the protector — it does not fall out when unscrewed. This prevents losing the O-ring during field cleaning or when swapping between protector and suppressor.

Can I run this under a suppressor?

No. This protector is designed for thread protection only, not as a suppressor mount. Remove it before attaching a suppressor or other muzzle device. The Offset Pentagon Pattern may interfere with suppressor alignment.
